Steps to check eligibility:

  1. Go to the USDA eligibility site: https://eligibility.sc.egov.usda.gov/

  2. Select “Single Family Housing Guaranteed”. This will take you to the interactive map

  3. Enter the property address. Type the full address to check eligibility

  4. Review the map. Shaded areas are not eligible. If the property is in a non-shaded area, it’s likely eligible

Note: Areas around Birmingham, AL, such as Chelsea, Pinson, Clay, and Pleasant Grove, are often eligible. However, it’s important to verify each specific address.
